Stress and absence management:

Stress management is not only vital for employee wellbeing, it’s also essential if employers are to avoid absence and legal confrontation from stressed employees. This may consist of benefits such as employee assistance programmes (EAPs) as well as break out areas, opportunities for relaxation within the working day, and an open culture of communication. Often this is a core part of absence management, as stress is such a contributor to sickness absence. However, wider programmes also focus on policies and procedures, and benefits such as income protection, which often includes rehabilitation benefits to get employees back to work..
