Buck Consultants has been appointed by the trustees of the UPM-Kymmene UK pension scheme to provide actuarial, consulting and investment consulting services.
Previously, Buck only provided actuarial services to the UK scheme.
The appointment followed a rigorous selection process, which involved a number of consultancies.
In total, the schemes have more than 2,500 members and assets exceeding GBP150m.
UPM, a forest industry group, consists of three business groups: Energy and Pulp; Paper; and Engineered Materials.
In 2008, the group reported sales of EUR9.5bn (GBP8.4bn).
UPM's shares are listed on the Nasdaq OMX Helsinki stock exchange.
