Cigna enhances European Corporate Travel Plan

Cigna has enhanced its European Corporate Travel Plan, which provides travel insurance to both international and UK domestic small corporate clients.

It has now incorporated a number of additional enhancements and increased some of the existing benefits.

The plan is available to clients that wish to insure staff for both short-term business and leisure trips.

It has made considerable increases to its ?sum insured per person? annual benefit limits.

Medical expenses will rise from GBP5m to GBP10m; personal liability will rise from GBP1m to GBP2m; baggage will rise from GBP1,500 to GBP2,500; delayed departure will rise from GBP60 to GBP100; and personal accident will rise from GBP10,000 to GBP15,000 (accidental death remains at GBP10,000).

It has also added benefits including: hospital benefit - a limit per complete 24 hours with a maximum sum insured of GBP1,000; maximum hi-jack - a limit per complete 24 hours with a maximum sum insured of GBP1,000.

Cigna has also amended its policy wording to a 'fit to travel policy' - which provides more flexibility than the previous 'pre-existing conditions' definition.
