Healix upgrades travel insurance sales process

Towergate is enhancing its travel insurance sales process by working with risk assessment specialists the Healix Group.

Towergate will implement the latest version of Safiri, the travel insurance web-based policy fulfilment system from Healix.

Key to the system is the integration of medical screening in the travel insurance sales process, which Towergate believes will provide the company with a competitive edge.

Developed by Healix IT, Safiri is designed for multiple applications in a business including the call centre, by brokers and agents and as an integral component of customer-facing websites.

'The addition of a dynamic Quick Quote cross-sell feature in Safiri for selling upgrades of cover is especially valuable and is very intuitive to use,' said Nick Ryan, technical team leader at Towergate.

'Plus, the latest re-design of Safiri has made white-labelling even simpler, enabling us to deliver tailored solutions for clients quickly, simply and cost effectively,' he added.

As well as the sales process advantages of Safiri, the inclusion of Healix's risk-rating product for the risk assessment of pre-existing medical conditions gives Towergate - and other sellers of travel insurers - sales and risk management benefits.

'The Healix risk-rating tool - BB2 - is used by most UK-based travel insurers and is generally integrated into sales systems via the internet,' said Russell Smith, commercial manager of Healix IT.

'However, for those organisations that are unable to integrate medical risk assessment into their own systems, Safiri gives them access to a freestanding, web-based policy sales system incorporating medical screening,' he added.

The Safiri policy sales system can be configured with or without the medical screening and it can also be used for stand-alone screening.

It is a flexible programme that allows the administration of any number of schemes, all of which can be set up differently by a non-technical administrator without reference to skilled IT help.
